On Friday, 5th of December 2014, during a humble and emotional ceremony, two exceptional NDF staff members were honored by NDF's Director, Major General Mr. Georgios Stathias. Lieutenant Colonel Mr. Georgios Sintzanakis , who was recently transferred to another bureau, and Mrs. Marina Xekalaki-Xatzinaki, that submitted her resignation due to retirement. Both of them were honored for their contribution in the National Defense Fund and the Armed Forces in general. During the ceremony, the whole military and political NDF staff was present as well as some representatives from the Bureau of Army History, that is also housed in the NDF building. Moreover, a number of NDF soldiers were awarded the military service completion affirmation as a sign of recognition of their significant contribution in NDF's current projects; projects that involve the rational monitoring and management of the Fund's real estate. The ceremony was concluded with a farewell speech by Mrs. Xekalaki in a strongly touching environment.
